GIVING DAY FOR APES is coming up on Tuesday, October 15th! A way to help our small sanctuary raise the needed funds to install its own water system. Getting water has indeed become a daily challenge for the last few months and we have to beg water from friends to provide our orphans with drinking water.

Please, help us make this water nightmare a problem of the past!! Any support means the world to THEM!!

Today, seeing THEM ALL healthy and playfull is a victory against the poachers and the horrors they went through before meeting us…

Please help us to install our own water system at our sanctuary for orphaned chimpanzees in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)!

Infrastructure is poor in the DRC and on some days, nothing comes out the tap, placing an enormous strain on our daily efforts.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by Tuesday, 15th October 2019 so that this finally becomes a problem of the past.

Interested? Join us on our Giving Day for Apes page:

Any support represents the world to these orphaned chimpanzees.
Thank you for them!

WATER SHORTAGE AT J.A.C.K. since last March: getting enough water for team and chimps is a daily struggle!

This year, J.A.C.K. has again been hoboured by the amazing support of the  l’INTERNATIONAL PRIMATE PROTECTION LEAGUE .

Our sanctuary has indeed been through two arsons ((2006 & 2013) and it was important to enforce security on site to keep our residents as well as our team safe from harm! We are  extremely pleasd to have two armed Rangers from the local national parks (ICCN) since their patrols comfort us and dissuade anyone whishing to enter the sanctuary!

Strong winds destroyed one of the wlls surrounding our complex and it was a relief to have the Rangers providing security.

Thanks to IPPL’s grant we are able to feed the two rangers and to pay them an extra salary.

Many thanks to IPPL, its team, its donors and especially to Dr Shirley Mc Greal as without her Love and trust, J.A.C.K. wouldn’t have been able to gve these orphaned chimpanzees the best!

Our sanctuary has been invited in different places in Europe and I am taking the opportunity to bring back to the DRC as many things as possible for our hairy friends!

Since we don’t have many drugs in the DRC and since the ones we can find on the local markets are 4 times more expensive than the ones in Europe, I have created a fundraiser on Internet to collect some funds to buy medication for about 1 year (anibiotics and deworming drugs). Here is the link to our event: www.lepotcommun.fr/pot/ldhpein1  We need about USD 1,125 to purchase the needed items.

Should the French page be an obstacle to you, you can always donate via our “donate” page : https://jackchimp.yolasite.com/donation.php

Your support would be really appreciated as every little bit helps in this part of the world!!

Thank YOU for THEM!!
