A few weeks ago, we noticed that Lynn was very weak and inactive. The vet decided to carry out a series of tests to determine the cause.
The results revealed that it was a bacteria in her blood that was devouring her from the inside. She was put on a first treatment which didn’t seem to have the desired effect.
Meanwhile, Lynn was refusing to eat, losing weight and drinking only water. The vet used diverse strategies, with more or less success, to give her the medication.
After noticing the ineffectiveness of the first treatment, Founder Roxane was worried about what would happen next, as it was obvious that we were going to lose Lynn and that we had to react quickly! She suggested to Dr. Calvin to change the treatment molecule a few days later, which began to bear fruit. Lynn has regained her appetite, eats lots of fruit, walks normally even though she’s lost a lot of weight, and all her muscles are barely visible. We hope that this latest treatment and her constant diet will restore her good condition, and that soon we’ll be able to say that she’s « out of the woods ».
Lynn is still isolated from her group for observation and will be reunited with hers as soon as the Doctor decides.
