Since January 2023, the J.A.C.K. sanctuary has been faced with a worrying situation: the rescue of over 50 primates in just a few months. The provinces of Sankuru, Bas-Uele and Tshopo were the main areas of intervention, where these primates were victims of poaching, illegal trade in bushmeat and exotic pets and all other forms of mistreatment. Faced with this alarming situation, the sanctuary quickly felt the need of food and veterinary care for these injured and traumatized animals. This is how a French start-up named « Monkey Turnkey » stepped in to help J.A.C.K. Thanks to its kindness, we have been able to provide some healthy, balanced diet for our residents. Its support has enabled us to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and other essential foods. We are grateful to the French company which, according to its possibilities, has contributed to the nutritional well-being of our protégés.
In addition to food, the company also helps to cover part of the veterinary costs. Primates require specialized medical attention, whether for common health problems or injuries. Thanks to the support of Monkey Turnkey, we have been able to offer the best possible veterinary care to our residents.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Monkey Turnkey for its generosity towards the residents of the sanctuary. Its contribution has been of great help to ensure the well-being and survival of these primates who have been the victims of tragic situations.
Thank YOU for THEM!
