Banda, formerly Ramses, the baby chimpanzee that arrived at the rehabilitation center on March 1, had foot surgery.
During her observation, the veterinarian detected swelling in her right foot. After a few X-rays, a piece of metal was found in her foot which turned out to be a bullet.
It took a few weeks before she had to go through surgery which should extract this metal.
On this Thursday, April 21, 2022, the surgery took place and was successful.
Little Banda will surely wake up feeling better in her feet.
